The Jammu and Kashmir government has dismissed a prosecuting officer for taking a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from an accused to influence the outcome of a murder case. The officer, Aijaz-Ul-Hassan, was found to have violated the J&K Employees (Conduct) Rules, 1971, by accepting the bribe. As a result, he has been dismissed from service with immediate effect and is ineligible for future employment.
