A labourer identified as Habibullah Malik, a resident of Drugmulla, died and another was injured on Tuesday after being struck by a falling stone at a quarry site in the Waterkhani area of Drugmulla, located in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Officials reported that the incident occurred at the quarry when a stone fell and injured the two labourers. Both individuals were immediately transported to a hospital. Upon arrival, Habibullah Malik was declared dead. The other injured labourer is currently receiving medical treatment.
Police have registered a case and have initiated further investigation into the incident.
