Katra Police have successfully recovered a stolen auto-rickshaw and arrested two individuals in connection with a theft reported on April 1, 2025. Tilak Raj, a resident of Katra, reported the theft of his auto-rickshaw (JK14D-6485) which occurred between March 30th and 31st, 2025.
A case (FIR No. 97/2025, under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita) was registered, and an investigation led to the recovery of the vehicle and the arrest of Mohd. Khushal (Ramban) and Rahul Kumar (Pathankot).
The operation, led by SHO Katra, Inspector Khyatimaan Khajuria, under the supervision of SDPO Katra, Dr.
Bhishm Dubey, and SP Katra, Vipan Chandran, has been commended by SSP Reasi, Paramvir Singh. Further investigation is ongoing to explore potential links to other theft cases in the district, with additional arrests and recoveries possible.
