In a shocking turn of events, a retired police officer, Mohammad Shafi, was fatally shot by militants on Sunday morning in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred inside a mosque while Shafi was performing the Azan prayer call.
Kashmir Zone Police confirmed the news through a social media post, stating that militants “fired upon Shri Mohd Shafi … while praying Azan in the mosque.” Sadly, Shafi succumbed to his injuries.
