Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and his family recently enjoyed a three-day trip to the picturesque Gulmarg ski resort in Kashmir. Their arrival coincided with a much-needed snowfall, bringing joy to both skiers and locals who had been waiting for fresh powder for months.
An ardent fan, Altaf Ahmad, expressed his excitement, calling Tendulkar “one of the most blessed human beings” for ushering in the snowfall. Tendulkar, along with his wife Anjali and daughter Sara, embraced the snowy landscape, enjoying the scenery and even taking a spin on a snow bike.
Their itinerary included a visit to an art and craft center in Kunzer, where shawl and carpet weavers showcased their skills. Tendulkar, known for his appreciation of art, was expected to engage with the artisans. One weaver aptly described him as a “great artist and craftsman” himself, referring to his mastery on the cricket field.
Next on their agenda was a visit to the Aman Setu Bridge at the Kaman Post on the Line of Control. This visit offered an opportunity for Tendulkar to interact with the soldiers stationed there, who safeguard the nation’s borders.
The family then planned to return to Srinagar for the evening, where they would spend the night at the Taj Vivanta resort, overlooking the beautiful Dal Lake.
