Minister Satish Sharma, who holds portfolios for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, and Science & Technology, conducted unannounced inspections at the headquarters of the Road Transport Corporation (RTC) and the office of the Director of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs for Kashmir.
The Minister reviewed operational and administrative documents at both locations to evaluate adherence to government regulations and the effectiveness of their public service delivery. He also engaged in direct conversations with staff members, fostering an open exchange about their responsibilities, challenges they face, and ideas for enhancement.
At the RTC headquarters, officers and officials updated the Minister on crucial operational matters, current projects, and initiatives aimed at improving services. Minister Sharma pledged the government’s complete support for modernizing the State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) and enhancing public transportation services throughout the state.
During his interaction with the Director of FCS&CA, Kashmir, the Minister received an overview of the department’s efforts to ensure the smooth distribution of food grains and other essential civil supplies to the public.
“The purpose of today’s visits was to gain firsthand insight into the actual working conditions and to ensure that these departments are operating efficiently and with the public’s best interests at heart,” stated Minister Sharma. “It is vital to uphold a culture of accountability, and I commend the staff for their cooperation and commitment,” he affirmed.
