Following a brief firefight Wednesday night, security forces in Kulgam district, Jammu and Kashmir, sustained their presence on Thursday, conducting thorough search operations in the Hadigam area to locate terrorists. While no further clashes have occurred, the security blanket remains in place.
This operation began Wednesday evening when law enforcement initiated a cordon and search operation in Hadigam village. It was during this process that the encounter with terrorists erupted. Though the gunfire has since subsided, the officers continue meticulous sweeps of the area to ensure no threats remain.
