SIA Busts Terror Sleeper Cells, Raids 18 Locations Across Jammu Province

In a major crackdown on the terror infrastructure in Jammu province, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted synchronized raids today at 18 sites across four districts. The operation led to the confiscation of a significant amount of incriminating evidence.

The SIA reported that specialized teams, aided by local police and magistrates, executed the carefully planned raids simultaneously. This initiative is part of the agency’s continuous drive to dismantle sleeper cells and disrupt terror networks in the area.

Out of the 18 locations targeted, twelve were in the Surankote sub-division and three in Haveli tehsil of Poonch district. Additionally, one raid was conducted in Rajouri town (Rajouri district), one in Ramnagar (Udhampur district), and one in Ramban.

During the raids, a substantial volume of incriminating material was seized and secured according to legal procedures. This material is currently undergoing detailed examination, and further investigation is in progress. Several individuals have been summoned to SIA Jammu for questioning.

These operations were initiated based on actionable intelligence and lead inputs developed through the SIA’s ongoing efforts to uncover and neutralize covert terror-support structures within Jammu province.
