An army personnel was killed in an accidental weapon discharge in the Rajouri sector of the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday.
The soldier was part of an operation team that was on routine duty at a forward location when his weapon went off accidentally. He was rushed to an army medical center, but died from his injuries.
The official said that necessary legal proceedings have been initiated.
