Srinagar: The body of a teenage girl was recovered from the Jhelum River on Friday morning, two days after she jumped into the river near Habba Kadal.
The girl’s tragic leap was captured on a video that quickly circulated on social media. Following the incident, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) initiated a two-day search and rescue operation. The girl’s body was eventually found near Chattabal.
Local police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
