The body of a 24-year-old man, identified as Umar from Kawdara, Srinagar, was recovered this morning from the River Jhelum. He had reportedly jumped into the river near Zainakadal Bridge on Sunday, May 26. Joint teams from the SDRF and River Police located his body in the same stretch of the river where he was last seen, concluding a three-day search effort. Officials stated the body has been sent for medico-legal formalities and will be returned to his family. Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
