Theft case solved by Udhampur Police Accused arrested, stolen items recovered

Udhampur Police has solved a theft case by arresting one accused and recovered stolen items i.e copper statue of Nag Devta who was involved in the offence in the limits of Police Station, Udhampur.
Based on the complaint of the complainant namely Vikas Kumar S/O Bhaga Ram R/O Dandyal, Udhampur that some unknown miscreants have stolen the copper statue of Nag devta from Shiv Temple Dandyal Udhampur.
In this regards, A case was registered at PS Udhampur in connection with theft vide FIR No. 267/2024 under section 457/380/IPC. Acting on the compalint, a police party of Police Station Udhampur led by its SHO.
Accordingly, Police teams started generating the intelligence, conducted raids at different suspected locations and interrogated number of suspects/habitual offenders and during the sustained interview of these suspects, one of them namely Kameshwar Singh S/O Jowahar Lal R/O Mundhar, Teh. Kashtigarh, Doda
broke down and confessed the comission of the offence and was arrested.
On his disclosure, Police team also recovered the stolen item i.e copper statue of Nag Devta
from his house.
The further investigation of the case is going on.
