Security forces using drones located the bodies of three missing persons in a waterfall within the mountainous region of Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Darshan Singh (40) and Yogesh Singh (32) from Marhoon, and Varun Singh (15) from Dehota.
They were reported missing on March 5th after failing to return from a wedding in Lohai Malhar, Billawar tehsil.
A large-scale search operation involving the Army and police was initiated.
One of the missing individuals had contacted family members two days prior, reporting they were lost in the forest.
Recovery efforts are underway, and a postmortem examination will determine the cause of death.
The matter was raised in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly by BJP legislator Satesh Sharma, who demanded answers from the government regarding the missing civilians.
