Three youth from Janipur area of Jammu were killed in a road accident at Panjgrain area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Nagrota.
The victims, aged 20 to 22, were identified as Sumit Balgotra, son of Raj Kumar; Gaurav Balgotra, son of Narinder Balgotra; and Ram Mehra, son of Shiv Mehra, all residents of Indra Colony, Janipur, Jammu.
The tanker driver, who has been arrested, reportedly informed police that none of the deceased youths were wearing helmets at the time of the accident.
The police have taken cognisance of the matter by registering a case FIR number 284/2024 under Sections 106 and 281 of the BNS at Nagrota Police Station.
