Anantnag police conducted a successful operation against drug trafficking, apprehending two individuals and seizing a substantial amount of drugs. During a checkpoint stop near Budreshan, Aishmuqam police intercepted Owais Mansoor Bhat and Gh Mohd Bhat, both residents of Charakpora Hapatnard, and recovered approximately 7 kilograms of cannabis husk. A case has been registered at Aishmuqam police station under the NDPS Act (FIR No. 04/2025, U/S 8/20/29), and an investigation is underway. This arrest is a significant step in combating the drug trade in the district and reinforces the police’s commitment to community safety through proactive measures like checkpoint stops.
