Two drug peddlers Arrested with Heroin in Bahu Fort

Jammu Police’s South Zone, as part of Operation Sanjeevani, has successfully apprehended two drug peddlers and confiscated 23 grams of a heroin-like substance. A load carrier vehicle was also seized in the operation.

The arrested individuals have been identified as real brothers: Mohd Arif and Nahid Choudhary, both residents of Rajouri.

The breakthrough occurred when a police team from Police Post Narwal, led by the In-Charge, intercepted a suspicious load carrier near Railway Pulli, Narwal, during routine patrolling. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of the illicit substance from the duo’s possession.

Under the guidance of SP City South, SDPO City East, and SHO Police Station Bahu Fort, Inspr. Rajesh Jasrotia, the operation underscores Jammu Police’s commitment to its zero-tolerance policy against drugs.

A case, FIR No. 206/2025, has been registered under Sections 8/21/22/25 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Bahu Fort, and further investigation is ongoing.

Jammu Police urges the public to continue supporting their efforts to eradicate the drug menace. Citizens are encouraged to share any information regarding drug trafficking or illegal substances with their local police stations or the dedicated narcotics helpline.
