In a significant step towards eradicating the drug menace, the J&K Police District Ganderbal arrested two notorious drug peddlers in the Kangan area. During a routine naka checking at Pehelnar crossing Wanghat, a police team led by SHO Mehboob Hussain apprehended Mohammad Lateif Jagan and Amjid Ahmad Jagal, both residents of Naranag Kangan.
The duo was found to be in possession of a substantial amount of charas. The contraband substance was seized, and the accused were arrested. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Police Station Kangan, and further investigation is underway.
Ganderbal Police urges the general public, especially the youth, to stay away from drugs and to cooperate with the authorities in their efforts to combat drug abuse.
