Udhampur: Four terrorists are believed to be cornered in an ongoing encounter in the Basantgarh area of Udhampur district, according to Bhim Sen, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, IGP Sen stated that contact with the terrorists was established around 8:30 AM. However, adverse weather conditions are currently hindering operations.
“The situation will become clear once the weather improves,” he said. “As per our assessment, a group of four terrorists is holed up.”
Earlier reports from the Army confirmed that the encounter broke out in the Bihali area of Basantgarh following specific intelligence inputs.
