Urges PM Modi for restoration of Statehood to J&K as promised before Election
Jammu, October 12: Vikram Singh Bhadwal, General Secretary (Organisation) of Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas), J&K, today called upon the Omar Abdullah to ensure representation for Jammu-based MLA’s in the Government Cabinet. He emphasized the need for equal representation, particularly for those MLAs who have supported the formation of the government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing media, Singh stated, “The aspirations of the people of the Jammu region must be honored by inducting their representatives into the Council of Ministers. It is imperative for the National Conference to recognize the contributions of Jammu-based Independent MLAs won from Jammu region including Satish Sharma from Akhnoor, Payare Lal Sharma from Inderwal, Ch Mohammad Akram from Surankote, Th Rameshwar Singh from Bani, and provide them with an opportunity to serve in the Cabinet, ensuring a balanced representation across the regions.”
Vikram Singh further highlighted the importance of restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, a demand that resonates with the people across the Union Territory. He appealed to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take necessary steps to restore the erstwhile state’s status, stating that this move would bolster the political, social, and economic landscape of J&K.
“Restoring statehood is not just a matter of status but a step towards empowering the people of Jammu and Kashmir. It is time to honor the commitment made to the people of the region,” Singh added.
The Lok Jan Shakti Party (Ramvilas) has consistently advocated for the rights and development of the people of J&K, and Vikram Singh reiterated the party’s commitment to ensuring equal representation and justice for all sections of society.
