Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today inaugurated the ‘Chinar Book Festival’ in Srinagar, an event organized by the National Book Trust of India. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also graced the inaugural ceremony.

In his address, Lieutenant Governor Sinha commended the Union Ministry of Education and the National Book Trust for providing a platform that offers readers new perspectives and the opportunity to engage with prominent writers and scholars. He emphasized the transformative power of books, stating, “The books open the window to the world. Books offer new ideas and fresh perspectives that change the way we perceive things and promote critical thinking.” He expressed his hope that the festival would connect the younger generation with their rich literary heritage and inspire them to preserve traditional wisdom.
