A 25-year-old woman named Fatima Begum, wife of Fareed Ahmad Deedad, tragically died after she accidentally fell into a 40-foot-deep well while washing clothes near her home in the Hajibal Sarkuli area of Kalaroose, Kupwara district.
Following the incident, police, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and Fire & Emergency Services launched a joint rescue operation and recovered her body. The body was taken to Sub-District Hospital Handwara for legal formalities. Police have opened an investigation into the case.
