“The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine has experienced a surge in devotees during the Chaitra Navratra festival, with approximately one lakh pilgrims visiting the Trikuta Hills shrine in Katra, Reasi district. The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has implemented comprehensive arrangements to facilitate a smooth and fulfilling pilgrimage.
To manage the increased footfall, the Board has deployed security and crowd management teams. Enhanced facilities, including a new skywalk to ease congestion, improved queue management, expanded accommodation, and upgraded community kitchen services, have been introduced.
Recognizing the needs of all devotees, the Board is offering free services to persons with disabilities (Divyang pilgrims) to ensure an accessible and comfortable experience.
In 2024, the shrine recorded a record 94.83 lakh visitors, solidifying its position as a major spiritual destination in India. The Shrine Board remains dedicated to providing quality facilities and a seamless pilgrimage for all.”
