Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju to re-engage 200 National Institute of Sport( NIS) Patalia certified coaches under Prime Minister package in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a letter to Mr Rijiju Rajya Sabha (RS) member of PDP Fayaz Ahmad Mir on September 19 said in the year 2016, 200 youngsters from Jammu and Kashmir got trained at NIS under PM’s special package.
After successful completion of certificate training course they were engaged in Jammu and Kashir to promote sports at grass root level.
However, in the year 2018 they were discharged of their duties without any reasons, he said adding government emphasizes and is taking utmost interest in making a culture of sports in the country and aspire to make J&K a sports arena. Why these 200 youngsters have been dissolved of their charges was not known.
“I shall be highly obliged if these coaches are reengaged under PM package in Jammu and Kashmir”, the letter.
He said these youths knocked every door but could not find a sigh of relief. “Requesting your good self to help the distressed youngsters on priority, ” Mir said.
