A soldier, Havildar Mohd Sagir, was killed in a road accident on Thursday in the Torna Uri area of Baramulla district, North Kashmir. Three other soldiers sustained injuries in the accident.
An army vehicle reportedly met with an accident, resulting in Hav Sagir’s death at the scene. The injured soldiers were airlifted by helicopter to the 92 base in Srinagar for medical treatment. Hav Sagir’s body was transported to a hospital for legal procedures and a medical examination.
Authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
