2 BSF Personnel, 21 Civilians Arrested for Infiltration Attempts in 2021-2023: Govt In Lok Sabha

The government has taken a multi-pronged approach to stop infiltration along the Indo-Pakistan and Indo-Bangladesh borders. This includes round-the-clock surveillance and patrolling, establishment of observation posts, increasing the number of BSF personnel, constructing border fencing and floodlighting.

The government is also using water crafts and boats, floating border out posts, advance technological equipments, and upgradation of intelligence setup to stop infiltration. They are also working closely with state governments and intelligence agencies.

Since 2021, two BSF personnel and 21 civilians have been apprehended for involvement in infiltration attempts. When officials or local persons are found to be involved in infiltration, the government takes strict action against them.
