700 PHE Division Baramulla Field Staff Transferred in Departmental Reform Drive

Baramulla, J&K – In a significant move to enhance transparency and efficiency, the Executive Engineer of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Division Baramulla has issued transfer orders for approximately 700 employees. Many of these employees had not been reassigned in over 15 years.

This extensive reshuffle aims to address long-standing public grievances concerning absenteeism, favoritism, and service inefficiencies, while ensuring a more equitable distribution of manpower across the division.

Executive Engineer Aijaz Ahmad confirmed the decision, stating, “Public service is a duty, not a privilege. The system must work for the people, not the other way around.” He emphasized that the overstay of employees was a major impediment to streamlining the system.

All transferred staff have been directed to report to their new postings immediately. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action under Central Civil Services (CCS) Rules, including suspension.

The department is appealing for the public’s patience during this transitional period, assuring residents that all necessary efforts are being made to maintain uninterrupted water supply services.
