Carmel Convent School, Jammu, held its Annual Day celebration with great enthusiasm and spirit, featuring students from classes Pre-Primary to VI. The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Bishop Ivan Pereira, the Bishop of Jammu-Srinagar Diocese and President of the Education Society of the Diocese. The Guest of Honour was SSP Joginder Singh, and among the special guests were SHO Satveer Singh (Gangyal), Baldev Singh Billawaria, and Corporator ward no.55 Anil Kumar.
The theme for the day, “Peace through Creation,” resonated deeply with the school’s commitment to ecology and environmental preservation. The young Carmelites confidently showcased their talents through a variety of performances that captivated the audience, especially their proud parents. Skits highlighting the importance of creation and environmental conservation carried the message that peace can indeed be achieved through the mindful preservation of our natural world.
The performances were a feast for the eyes, filled with creativity, color, and purpose, reminding everyone present that every individual has the power to contribute to a peaceful world through small acts of care for creation. The day’s events culminated in a renewed sense of responsibility towards protecting the environment and fostering peace in everyday life.
