Kupwara police have arrested a man and seized a quantity of illicit liquor. The arrest was made at a checkpoint near the Kalaroos Fire Service Station where officers from the Kalaroos Police Post stopped Hilal Ahmad Bhat, son of Khizar Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Kalaroos. A search revealed 37 bottles of illicit liquor, leading to his immediate arrest. A case (FIR No. 37/2025) has been registered at Kupwara Police Station under relevant sections of law, and an investigation is underway. The J&K Police are calling on the public to report any information regarding drug or liquor trafficking, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in combating these issues.
