At a checkpoint in Jakhani, Udhampur, a police team led by the Station House Officer (SHO) stopped a Tempo Traveller (JK14C-6636) traveling from Jammu towards the Kashmir Valley. A search of the passengers and driver resulted in the discovery of 5.65 grams of a heroin-like substance on one passenger, Bilal Ahmed Naikoo, son of Ali Mohd. Naikoo, resident of Tikan, Batpora, Pulwama. Naikoo was immediately arrested. A case (FIR No. 51/2025) has been registered at Udhampur Police Station under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act, and an investigation is underway.
