“Kashmir experienced a mix of fresh snowfall and rain on Saturday. Snow blanketed the plains of southern districts including Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, and Pulwama, as well as popular tourist destinations like Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Pahalgam. Heavy snowfall was also reported in Gurez, parts of Kupwara, and other elevated areas. The rest of the Kashmir Valley saw light to moderate rainfall.
The Meteorological Department predicts continued intermittent light to moderate rain across most regions, with higher elevations expecting snow. While brief periods of light rain or snow are possible into Sunday morning, the weather is expected to improve by the afternoon.”
