National Conference (NC) President Farooq Abdullah affirmed his party’s commitment to supporting economically and socially disadvantaged groups, highlighting recent government initiatives. He cited the Jammu and Kashmir government’s provision of free electricity and transport for women as examples of their efforts.
During a meeting with a delegation from Gujjar Basti Bandipora, Abdullah reiterated the NC’s history of protecting the interests of marginalized communities and implementing programs to improve their living standards. He emphasized the Omar Abdullah government’s budget, which allocated resources for 200 units of free electricity and increased rations for the economically vulnerable.
“The implementation of free transportation for women will significantly enhance their quality of life,” Abdullah stated. He assured that the NC would fulfill all manifesto promises, particularly those aimed at assisting marginalized groups. He underscored the party’s long-standing advocacy for the underprivileged, stating that under Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s leadership, this commitment would continue.
