“A Pakistani intruder was fatally shot by Border Security Force (BSF) personnel along the International Border (IB) in the R S Pura sector, near the Abdulian border outpost, during an attempted infiltration. The incident occurred between the nights of April 4th and 5th. According to a BSF spokesperson, troops detected suspicious movement and challenged the intruder, who continued advancing. Perceiving a threat, the BSF troops neutralized the individual. The intruder’s identity and motives are currently under investigation. The BSF has stated they will lodge a strong protest with Pakistani authorities. The body has been transferred by police for postmortem and legal procedures.”
