Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony for the BJP’s new office in Nagpur, emphasized the importance of familial bonds within the party. He stated that a political leader should treat the party as their family and its workers as family members. The event coincided with the BJP’s foundation day, April 6th, marking the party’s origins from the Bharatiya Jana Sangh.
Gadkari credited the dedication and sacrifices of numerous party workers for his and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s success. He recalled the challenges faced by the Jana Sangh, BJP, and RSS, particularly the Congress’s efforts to spread misinformation. He asserted that the BJP is neither casteist nor communal, and that being a BJP worker is their primary identity.
He stressed the party’s commitment to national development, reiterating that the nation takes precedence. Gadkari also contributed Rs 25 lakh towards the construction of the new BJP office. Chief Minister Fadnavis and BJP state chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule were also present at the ceremony.
