The helicopter fare for the Katra-Sanjhi Chhat sector has been increased by over 20%, with the new one-way fare now at Rs. 2100 and the return fare at Rs. 4200. This is up from the earlier fares of Rs. 1820 and Rs. 3640, respectively.
The aviation company has quoted a rate of Rs. 2100, which includes 5% GST. However, the GST Council requires 18% GST to be charged on chopper fares. This means that an extra 12% GST may be added to the fare.
Pilgrims are advised to check the latest fare and GST rates before booking their helicopter tickets.
