Rs 1 Lakh Ex-Gratia Announced for Kin of Ramban Road Accident Victims in J&K

In a tragic road accident that occurred on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Ukhral Senabathi in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district, four people were killed and one was injured. Initially, reports stated five fatalities, but later information confirmed four.

The deceased have been identified as Tauqeer Ahmed, Abdul Latief, Mohd Rafiq, and Ajaz Ahmed. The injured individuals, Yawer Ahmed and Shakeel Ahmed, were transported to GMC Hospital Anantnag for medical treatment.

District Administration Ramban expressed profound grief over the incident. Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, announced an ex-gratia relief of ₹1 lakh for the families of each deceased and ₹25,000 for the injured person. He stated that all possible support is being extended to the affected families.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh also conveyed his condolences after speaking with DC Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan. He assured that all necessary assistance would be provided, even utilizing personal resources if required, and directed the administration to offer comprehensive help.
