11 Army Personnel Missing in Uttarkashi Flash Floods; 150 Rescued by NDRF

In Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, 150 people have been rescued following flash floods caused by a cloudburst. However, four people have been confirmed dead and 50 are still missing, including 11 army personnel from the Harsil area.

The Rishikesh-Uttarkashi highway is currently blocked by landslides, which has delayed three National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams from reaching the affected Dharali village. Additionally, bad weather has prevented two other NDRF teams from being airlifted from Dehradun.

Despite these challenges, rescue operations are being conducted by teams from the army, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). The ITBP has also rescued 413 pilgrims who were stranded on the Kinner Kailash Yatra route after a section of the path was washed away.
