Public safety top priority in dealing with enemies of peace: J&K DGP to police officers

The Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief has asked his officers to develop a new way to protect the public while dealing with hostile elements. The Chief said that the new mechanism should be more effective and ensure public safety.

The Chief also stressed the importance of friendly policing and maintaining a peaceful and safe environment. He also said that it is important to strengthen the mechanism of sharing intelligence inputs among stakeholders at different levels.

The Chief said that the handlers of terrorists across the border and their puppets in Jammu and Kashmir are desperate to disturb peace in the region. He added that the attacks on innocent civilians and forces exhibit the frustration of terror handlers.

The Chief directed the officers to strengthen and augment the security grids in their respective areas for the safety of the people. He said that police, security forces, sister agencies, and the general public have to work together to defeat saboteurs and enemies of peace.
