Indian Border Security Force (BSF) troops have seized eight Pakistani drones and five kilograms of heroin in the past week, thwarting cross-border smuggling attempts. The latest seizure occurred on Monday when BSF personnel, acting on specific intelligence, conducted a joint search operation with Punjab Police near Mehdipur village in Tarn Taran district. During the operation, a China-made quadcopter was recovered from an agricultural field. This is the eighth Pakistani unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) used for smuggling heroin that has been seized by BSF troops in Punjab during the past week. The BSF has intensified anti-smuggling operations along the India-Pakistan border in recent months, resulting in a significant increase in seizures of narcotics and drones. The use of Chinese-made drones for cross-border smuggling is a growing concern for Indian authorities.
