Two persons were killed and another was injured when a load carrier they were traveling in skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Doda district on Monday.
The accident occurred on the Tanta-Gundna road when the load carrier, bearing registration number JK06B-1533, lost control and plunged into the gorge. The driver of the vehicle, Aqib Gulzar, was seriously injured and was rushed to GMC Doda hospital by rescuers.
The two deceased have been identified as Mir Ali, son of Noor of Kunthal, and Zafarullah, son of Talib Hussain of Dandi Bala.
SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom confirmed the incident and said that a case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
