Good news for devotees! The gates of the Badrinath Dham temple in Uttarakhand will swing open at 6:00 am on May 12th, 2024. The announcement was made on Wednesday following a traditional ceremony held at Narendra Nagar Palace on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami.
“The date and time for opening the temple doors were finalized after a religious ceremony,” said Mr. Ajendra Ajay, chairman of the Badrinath-Kedarnath temple committee. “We are happy to invite devotees for darshan starting May 12th.”
The ceremony was attended by members of the erstwhile Tehri royal family, including BJP MP from Tehri, Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, her husband Manujendra Shah, and their daughter Shrija Shah.
