The Gurez road, a vital 84-kilometer stretch connecting Bandipora to Gurez, has been closed by authorities due to fresh snowfall at Razdan Pass.
This precautionary measure follows forecasts of rain and snowfall in the area. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Gurez announced the closure in a statement, saying traffic will be suspended on the road until further notice.
This isn’t the first time the road has been impacted by bad weather. Last week, it was closed several times due to similar conditions.
