An Air India Express flight, IX-2564, traveling from Delhi to Srinagar with a stop in Jammu, returned to Delhi on Monday afternoon. The reason for the return was not immediately clear.
Officials stated the flight was scheduled to land in Jammu around noon before continuing to Srinagar. However, the aircraft circled Jammu airport before the pilot decided to return to Delhi without landing. Despite clear weather and an unobstructed runway, it appeared the pilot was unable to locate the correct landing area.
