In a coordinated effort, the Kulgam Police, along with personnel from 1RR and 18 BN CRPF, have successfully apprehended two individuals identified as terrorist associates in the Kulgam district. The operation, conducted at a checkpoint established at Matalhama Chowk, Thokerpora, Qaimoh, led to the arrest of Bilal Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Salam Bhat, and Mohd Ismail Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, both residents of the same locality.
A subsequent search of the individuals resulted in the recovery of a substantial cache of arms and ammunition, including 02 pistols, 25 pistol rounds, and 02 pistol magazines.
In response to this incident, a formal case has been registered under FIR NO. 29/2025 at Police Station Qaimoh, invoking the relevant legal provisions. Authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation to delve deeper into the associates’ network and activities.
