Baramulla Drug Peddler Arrested; Woman Caught with Illicit Substances

BARAMULLA, Jammu and Kashmir – In a significant step towards eradicating drug trafficking from the region, Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested a notorious female drug peddler in Baramulla district.

Acting on credible information about the presence of illicit substances in a residential house in Trikanjan Boniyar, a police team from Police Station Boniyar conducted a raid on the premises. During the search, the team recovered 60 grams of heroin-like substance from the possession of Farhat Begum, a resident of Trikanjan Boniyar.

Begum, who was identified as a wanted drug peddler, was immediately arrested and taken into custody. A case under relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Boniyar, and investigations are underway.

The police have urged the public to report any instances of drug peddling or other criminal activities to the nearest police station or by dialing 112. They have also assured the community that they will take strict action against criminals as per the law.
