Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha presided over the 34th Executive Council Meeting of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University at Raj Bhawan today. The meeting focused on fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill development among students, expanding enrollment, and boosting the employability of academic and training programs.
The Executive Council, led by the Lieutenant Governor, discussed various critical matters, including promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and start-ups, enhancing skill development among students, increasing enrollment, and improving the employability of academic and training programs.
Lieutenant Governor Sinha instructed the University administration to organize social awareness campaigns on sanitation, drug eradication (Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan), tuberculosis-free Jammu and Kashmir (TB Mukt J&K), and Anganwadi centers.
He emphasized that the University should also engage in activities that promote the educational and socio-economic empowerment of the people, particularly the youth residing in neighboring villages.
Vice Chancellor of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Professor (Dr.) Pragati Kumar, presented various agenda items before the Council for approval and ratification.
