Former Jammu and Kashmir Minister Lal Singh has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case, following the dismissal of his anticipatory bail application by an Anti-Corruption Court.
The Chairman of the Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party was apprehended on Tuesday evening, a day after being questioned by the ED.
The case involves alleged irregularities in the acquisition of land for an educational trust.
Lal Singh’s wife, Kanta Andotra, maintained that she is the Chairperson of the trust and asserted that they are attempting to harass her husband.
