Special Director General (SDG) of Border Security Force’s Western Command, B Khurania, visited the forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday to review the operational preparedness of the troops.
Khurania visited the forward areas of Gurez sector in Bandipora and interacted with the troops. He reviewed the security situation along the LoC and the measures taken by the troops to ensure the safety of the border. He also appreciated the troops for their excellent performance in challenging situations.
The SDG was accompanied by senior officers of the BSF. He was briefed by the local commanders about the security situation and the operational preparedness of the troops. He also visited the observation posts and bunkers along the LoC.
Khurania expressed satisfaction with the operational preparedness of the troops and their commitment to duty. He directed the officers to remain vigilant and take all necessary measures to foil any attempt by the enemy to cross the LoC.
He also stressed the need for maintaining close coordination with the other security forces deployed in the area.
The SDG’s visit to the forward areas was aimed at ensuring the highest level of operational preparedness of the troops and to boost their morale.
