A private car, registration number JK02CL-4090, belonging to Arvin Pandita of Jammu, mysteriously caught fire and was completely burnt to a crisp while traveling along the Jammu-Srinagar highway near Shamsipora in Kulgam district on Tuesday.
Fortunately, the driver and all other passengers, whose exact number is yet to be determined, managed to escape the inferno unharmed.
Police from Qaimoh station promptly arrived at the scene and initiated necessary actions. SHO Qaimoh Museer Asgar confirmed that there were no injuries, and everyone in the vehicle escaped safely.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation is underway.
