CDS Anil Chauhan, Tri-Services Chiefs Brief Prez Murmu On Operation Sindoor

Jammu and Kashmir is on high alert as the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Anil Chauhan, alongside the heads of the Army, Air Force, and Navy, briefed President Droupadi Murmu today regarding Operation Sindoor.

Launched on May 7th, Operation Sindoor is India’s response to the deadly April 22nd Pahalgam terror attack, which tragically resulted in the loss of 26 lives. The operation targets terror infrastructure within Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.

In a post on X, Rashtrapati Bhavan stated, “General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff, along with General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff, Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh, Chief of the Air Staff, and Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, called on President Droupadi Murmu and briefed her about Operation Sindoor.”

The President lauded the bravery and commitment of the armed forces, acknowledging their pivotal role in the successful execution of India’s counter-terrorism response.
