Civilian Flights Halted at Srinagar Airport Amidst Heightened Security

Due to the closure of the Indian Air Force (IAF) airfield at Srinagar Airport, all civilian flight operations have been suspended for today.

Director of Srinagar Airport, Javed Anjum, confirmed to the news agency JKNS that, “The airfield is closed and today no civil flights will be operated from Srinagar Airport.”

This action follows Operation Sindoor, a precision strike conducted by the Indian Armed Forces targeting terror camps across the Line of Control (LoC).

Passengers are advised by authorities to verify their flight status with their respective airlines before proceeding to the airport.
